Podcast Expo - From the Show Floor - Fonpods Delivers Podcasts on the Phone

Ontario, CA -- Fōnpods announced a service that has the potential to open up the world of podcasting to a whole new audience that doesn't even need a computer to access the content. Ted Heieck, Fōnpods' Founder, gave us more information about the service at this week's Podcast and Portable Media Expo.

Fōnpods provides convenient, mobile access to digital audio content, such as an audio podcast, via a device most anybody owns - namely, a telephone. Users can use a traditional landline phone, a VoIP phone, and even a mobile phone to access podcast content no matter where they are.

After creating an account with at least their email address, a password, and a phone number, Fōnpods users can visit the Web site to select the podcasts they'd like to include in their personalized feed. The next time the user calls the Fōnpods service, their feeds will be ready to listen to.

Best of all, the service is free for both users and content providers, and is available immediately.
